The GEF's charge is to advance the development of esthetic oral health globally and to facilitate the exchange of information and experience among dental professionals by bringing together the national and international organizations and leaders of esthetic dentistry. The GEF shall develop programs to teach and encourage the adoption of the highest standards of competence and integrity in esthetic dentistry.

The Federation's member organizations shall be democratically governed national, continental, or international dental organizations that can demonstrate the highest ethical and scientific standards. Organizations that have held annual scientific meetings shall be considered for Membership.
